UASBC UNDERWATER EXPLORERS SPEAKERS SERIES - November 10 - UPDATE
A scheduling conflict. And a speaker to the rescue!
We have to postpone Rob Rondeau's talk due to a scheduling conflict. Luckily for us, we have another speaker ready to roll! Please join us on Wednesday, November 10 as we welcome Lauren Hudson (Education Coordinator, Ocean Networks Canada) who will talk to us about ONC's work with Remotely Operated Vehicles.
ONC, based at the University of Victoria, monitors the West and East Coasts of Canada and the Arctic to continuously deliver data in real-time for scientific research, using cabled observatories, remote control systems, interactive sensors and big data management. Lauren will provide an overview of the ROVs and technology that ONC uses to explore our coastal oceans and to set up and maintain those cabled systems.
