Capilano 1 Survey Dive
This will be a joint sport diver/technical diver trip to the Capilano I and beyond. Friday afternoon will feature a technical dive on a possible crane wreck in Deepwater Bay north of Campbell River. On Saturday we will do a dive on the wreck of the Capilano. Our second dive will be on the tug Shamrock. Sunday we will return to the Capilano. The goal will be to survey the accommodation area in the stern of the Capilano. This is not an open trip. The technical team is set and the 4 sport diving spots are committed. I will take names for the reserve list. It is 110 feet to the deck of the Capilano. Sport divers must have logged 6 or more dives below 100 feet to participate. Charter $160 per person. Kootenay Lake trip
We will leave Kaslo Shipyard (Kootenay Lake) by charter at 2 pm on Friday Sept.10 and return by 4 pm on Monday, Sept 13. The purpose of this trip is to make an ROV video of the sternwheeler City of Ainsworth (365'). If there is time we will also do monitoring dives on some shallower wrecks.
