Shawnigan Lake Search & Lord Jim Dive
Shawnigan Lake - Side scan search in Shawnigan Lake for a excursion boat in front of the old Shawnigan Hotel and to examine previous targets found during a search in 1995. There will be potential for diving on new targets as they are located. On Sunday we will do a pleasue dive on the Lord Jim. Explore this 56 foot pleasure boat that sank in Mill Bay. Hera & Nika Survey
We're heading back to the west coast of Vancouver Island to perform
more surveying on the Tofino Fire Ship. The Hera was a three masted schooner loaded with lime and beer that caught fire and sank at the entrance of Tofino Harbour on November 18, 1899. We will do one dive on the Hera, overnight in Ucluelet and dive Sunday on the Pass of Melfort and Nika. Diving Cost Approx $100. Travel, food & accommodation extra.

Army Tank Search, Deep Lake, Vernon
May 11: Thompson Okanagan chapter will do a day trip to Deep Lake, Cosen's Bay area. We will be looking for an W.W. 2 army tank. This trip will take place as long as the ice is off the lake. For details, please contact Bronwen Young.

Central Coast Spring Expedition
We plan on visiting the Central Coast area again this year to continue work on several sites. Dives will include the SS Jeanie,and the iron sailing ship Drumrock. Weather permitting, we will search for the elusive George S. Wright off Cape Caution and the barge Georgian 2 near Calvert Island. June 27-30, 2008. Lewis Bay rail car survey, Kootenay Lake. We will board at Kaslo on June 27, 4 p.m. and return on Monday,June 30, 4. p.m. Other monitoring dives of additional wrecks if time. Some knowledge of surveying techniques advisable (i.e. NAS 1). Cost (including food): Total; $175.00. Deposit accepted starting October 1,2007: $40.00 to reserve spot.
