Join us April 5-6,2008 in Bamfield for Shipwrecks 2008!

In addition to our conference speakers, the Woodward Lecture will be Saturday night at the Bamfield Marine Station. On Sunday, join us for dives on the Ericsson and Orpheus. Nondivers/partners/spouses will also find a variety of things to do in Bamfield.

Managing Maritime Heritage on the Last Frontier: Recent Investigations of Alaska's Historic Shipwrecks - Dave McMahan, Alaska State Archaeologist

Dave has more than 30 years experience studying and managing diverse archaeological resources of the vast Last Frontier. A skilled diver, Dave participated in the NOAA funded Kad-yak project that documented the oldest shipwreck yet found from the Russian America period as well as the 2006-7 multi-disciplinary survey of Lynn Canal shipwrecks.
