Topic: the enigmatic Henry Hudson
Description: The enigmatic 17th century English sea captain, Henry Hudson made four arduous voyages to Arctic waters, one of which also explored further south where he discovered what is now New York's Hudson River. Henry Hudson was a fine sailor, navigator and explorer but a poor judge of men and so, not a good captain. His vacillating attitude to discipline caused him to be cast adrift in the southern reaches of Hudson Bay on his fourth voyage.
